Uploading Personal Web Pages

Create your home page or pages with the use of an html editor such as Notepad.

1. Download and install an FTP client such as Cute FTP. Click here to download CuteFTP
2. Setup a host connection to AMDAAT using the following settings:

Site Label:My Home Page
Host Address:amdaat.com.au
User ID:"enter your username"
Password:"enter your password"
Login Type:Normal (anonymous access will not work)
Transfer Type:Auto-Detect

If your connection is setup correctly you should now be able to connect to AMDAAT.

3. Once you have successfully connected to AMDAAT and are sitting in your home directory, create a new directory called public_html.

4. Upload your home pages into the public_html directory and make sure that your main page is named either index.html or index.htm, if it isn't your site will not work.

5. You are now ready to send email to sysadmin@amdaat.com.au requesting that your home directory be made accessible for viewing by the rest of the world.
